Audio Table ยท Play
Audio Table privacy notice
Audio Table is run by AudioWander (owner: Smith). This notice explains what we keep about you, why, and for how long. We keep as little as we can.
What we store
- Your account: your player name, your chosen language, your role, when the account was created and when you last signed in.
- Your password, but never in readable form: only a salted scrypt hash, which cannot be turned back into the password.
- Your e-mail address, only if you gave one. It is used only to help with your own account and is never shown to other players.
- Sign-in sessions: when you choose "Remember me", your device keeps a random token. The server keeps only a hash of it. It ends after 30 days or when you sign out.
- Your IP address at your last sign-in, and failed sign-in attempts for a short time. These protect accounts from password guessing and help enforce bans.
- Game statistics: games played, wins and ratings for each game, shown on your profile and on leaderboards.
- Your block list: the players you blocked, so that the block works on every device.
- Your profile, if you add one: a photo (stored as a small square picture of at most 64 KB, shown to every player) and your About me text (up to 300 characters, shown to every player). You can remove both at any time; staff can remove a photo that breaks the rules. A replaced or removed photo is deleted from the server.
- Your friends: your friends list and open friend requests. Your friends can see when you are online and at which table; other players cannot see your friends list.
- Safety records: reports you send or receive, mutes, bans, the staff log of moderation actions with their reasons, and a server log line for every staff command (also refused ones).
- A connection code: moderators and admins see a short code made from your internet connection with a secret key. Two accounts with the same code share a connection; the code cannot be turned back into your IP address, and staff never see the address itself or your e-mail.
- Your progress: XP and levels (account and per game), daily streak, quests, achievements, unlocked and chosen looks, tournament entries and weekly results. Your level, looks and weekly rank can be seen by other players.
- Your saved tables (My tables): game, options, co-hosts, topic, music link and the table password you set.
- Table music: the link a table owner or co-host sets is shown to the people at the table and kept in the server log.
- When the server restarts, open tables and running games are written to the server's disk for a few minutes and read back, so your seat and the game are not lost.
Chat and voice
- Text chat and private messages are delivered to the people they are meant for. They may be kept in the server logs for up to 30 days so that staff can check reports, and are then deleted.
- Private messages are also kept as your message history, so that you and the other person can read back your conversation: the last 100 messages of each conversation, for up to 90 days. A private message to a player who is offline is kept until they sign in and then delivered to them. Only the two people in the conversation can read this history. Deleting your account deletes the private messages you sent and received.
- Messages to the staff (F3) are kept with your name, the topic, the time, your language and, if you choose, the number of the table you were at, so that staff can read and answer them. Answers reach you as private messages. Closed messages are deleted after 180 days; deleting your account deletes them at once. Only staff can read them.
- Voice chat is passed live to the people at your table only. It is never recorded or stored.
- Moderators can read the last 200 chat lines of a table, kept in memory only while the table is open, to check reports; they can also watch a table without being announced. Both are logged.
- Chat and voice are filtered for spam and links, and muted or banned players cannot be heard.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no tracking, no analytics services and no selling or sharing of your data.
- No payments: chips and points are play-only, so we never ask for payment details.
- The web page keeps only your settings (volume, speech, microphone choice and so on) and, if you choose "Remember me", your session token in your own browser. It sets no tracking cookies and loads nothing from other websites. The app keeps the same things on your device.
- Your microphone is used only while voice chat is on (and, with push to talk, only while you hold the talk key).
Where and how long
Data is kept on the Audio Table server and in its daily backups, which are kept for 14 days. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Your account and statistics are kept until you ask us to delete them. Moderation records about serious rule breaks may be kept after an account is deleted, so that a ban cannot be avoided by making a new account.
Your choices
- You can see your profile and statistics in the game at any time.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or the deletion of your account. Ask the owner or an admin in the game, or contact AudioWander through audiowander.com. We answer within 30 days.
- Personal mute and block: you decide whose voice, chat and private messages reach you.
- Sign out on all devices: one button in Settings ends every remembered session.
Children
Audio Table is not meant for children under 13. If a child under 13 has made an account, ask us and we will delete it.
