Zero Hour Assault

• NEW: Android, iPhone and iPad, on this server too: the triple tap in the middle of the screen now also does what the T key does. It wakes a fainted team mate close to you, and it lifts a knocked down fighter who is not your friend, group mate or team mate: the first triple tap tells you who is lying there, a second one within 3 seconds starts the lift. A fighter you knocked down yourself cannot be lifted this way.
• On a computer nothing changes: T lifts and wakes, and Shift and Enter lifts friends, group mates and team mates.
• This works right away, no game update is needed.

• NEW: Android, iPhone and iPad: tap with 2 fingers in the bottom centre of the screen to hear your aim, as Shift+F does on a keyboard. The tap with 1 finger there still jumps, or plays the horn on a vehicle.
• CHANGED: The touch gesture list and the game guide now say which bottom centre tap is with 1 finger and which is with 2.
• These arrive with version 2.0.3: on iPhone and iPad as soon as the App Store approves it, on Android with the next Google Play update.

• FIXED: If the inside of a group base (its basement) is ever missing, it is now rebuilt the moment someone enters, instead of the door only making a low sound.

• FIXED: A broken base (below 2000 health) can be entered again. Pressing Shift and Enter at its door put you inside on the exit square, so the next press, or a held key, threw you straight back out and it sounded as if the door never opened. Now you arrive one step inside, and the exit is one step back.

• NEW: Triple tap with 2 fingers at the top centre, the middle or the bottom centre of the screen copies the last spoken text to the clipboard, on Android and on iPhone and iPad, in the game and in the menus.
• FIXED: Android, iPhone and iPad: double tap with 2 fingers in the middle (community voice chat) no longer switches the microphone at the second tap, so a triple tap there does not turn it on or off.
• FIXED: Windows: F10 copies the last spoken text in the menus too, not only in the game.
• NEW: Android: triple tap with 3 fingers quotes the selected message, as on iPhone and iPad.
• NEW: Android: "view packs you bought and open them" is in the action menu, as on iPhone and iPad.
• CHANGED: iPhone and iPad: jumping 5 items in a menu with a 2 finger swipe up or down now goes round from the end to the start when menu wrapping is on, as on Android.
• The only gesture difference left between Android and iPhone is the back gesture: on iPhone and iPad a tap in the top left corner goes back, so the gestures that use the top left corner there are done with 2 fingers, and switching to punch is a 2 finger tap in the top right corner.

• FIXED: Switching to your other account with Shift+P (or Switch account on the phone) could still drop you at the sign-in options. The server told your game that your old character had gone offline just before it sent the new account, and the game took that as being signed out. The server no longer sends that message to the player who is switching. This works with the game you have now, on every device; there is nothing to update.

• These changes are for iPhone and iPad only, and they arrive with the next iPhone and iPad version of the game (2.0.1), as soon as the App Store approves it. They are not in the Windows or Android versions.
• NEW: In the settings there is "Built-in voice speed". It sets how fast the game's own voice talks when the screen reader is not speaking for the game, for example when VoiceOver is off. Each tap moves to the next speed, from very slow to fastest, and you hear the new speed at once.
• NEW: In the settings there is "Built-in voice". It lists every voice installed on your device, English voices first. Choosing a voice says a short sample in it and keeps the list open, so you can try several. "System default voice" goes back to the voice your device uses. Voices you download in the iOS settings appear in this list too.
• NEW: In the settings there is "Enable menu wrapping", like on Android. Turned on, every menu wraps around: swiping up on the first item takes you to the last one, and swiping down on the last item takes you back to the first. Turned off, which is the default, menus behave as before.
• NEW: In the settings there is "Enable drawing weapons into the right hand", like on Android. Turned on, the weapon you choose by swiping left or right at the top of the screen goes into your right hand instead of the left.
• NEW: In the settings there is "Disable speaking of typed characters", like on Android. Turned off, the game no longer says each letter you type or delete in a text box while VoiceOver is off. With VoiceOver on, deleted letters are still said, because VoiceOver cannot read them in the game's text box.
• FIXED: The game's own voice no longer stops speaking when you touch the screen, so a message is not cut off when you start a gesture.
• FIXED: In the speech history, choosing a line now says "Copied to the clipboard." The line was copied before too, but nothing was said, so it seemed that nothing happened.
• FIXED: With the game in Arabic or Russian and the iPhone set to another language (for example German), the game's own voice said nothing, because iOS uses the voice of the phone's language and that voice cannot read Arabic or Russian letters. Now, unless you choose a voice yourself, such text is read by an Arabic or Russian voice of your device.

• FIXED: Putting on or taking off a helmet, the silencer, the ladder and other short timed actions could keep you frozen for much longer than they take (10 seconds or more) when your connection was losing packets. The game now lets you move again on its own once the action is over, even if the server's "go" message is late. You need the new version of the game for this fix.

• FIXED: Switching to your other account with Shift+P in the lobby works again. Before, picking the other account could drop you back at the sign-in options with your old account and nothing said. You need the new version of the game for this fix.

• CHANGED: The Kel-Tec P318 is back as a weekly weapon. Each copy lasts one week from the first time you draw it, and another copy adds a week to the time you have left. It is now the strongest pistol by range, accuracy, fire rate and its 20-round magazine, but it takes 4 or 5 body hits to take someone down. It is sold in the web shop at audiowander.com/zero-shop for GBP 5 a week.

• FIXED: Players whose connection dropped about half a minute after logging in, on some mobile networks (for example Jio) and through VPNs, should now stay connected. The server sent its data in packets too big for those networks, so the large ones were lost on the way while the small ones still arrived; the server now sends smaller packets to everyone.
• The e-mail question at login now says what is wrong with your saved address, for example that it ends with an extra period, has a space, looks mistyped (gmail.co) or does not exist, and suggests the corrected address when it can.
• FIXED: Entering the freedom fight map no longer floods slower computers. A few seconds after you arrive, the game re-sends about 500 changed map pieces (chests, windows, base entrances) so your copy of the map is correct; this used to come all at once and could freeze a slower computer until the connection dropped. It now comes spread over a few seconds.
• FIXED: Buying in the Brackenford shops works again from the shop door and anywhere near the counter. The shops opened there this morning, but the purchase itself still wanted the exact counter square and said you can only buy this at the shop.
• FIXED: The game no longer stays on the loading screen at start when the message of the day cannot be fetched (a blocked or very slow network). It waits at most 8 seconds and then goes on to the main menu.
• FIXED: Every shop in Brackenford now opens with Shift+Enter (on Android, triple tap the middle of the screen) anywhere at its booth and in the 4 squares around it, including the shop door the zone tracker leads you to. Before, only one exact square inside worked. Trying to buy a motor in the lobby now tells you where motors are sold: in the vehicles category of the store once your match has started, or in freedom fight at the vehicle shop Axle and Spoke in Tanner's Market.

• FIXED: Choosing Arabic (or another big language) no longer freezes the game. The language file (1.3 MB for Arabic) was split word by word when it arrived, which froze a phone for many seconds and could drop the connection; the game now reads only its first words. Translating new messages is also about five to nine times faster. The server no longer sends the same language file again at the next login after you chose it in the menu.
• FIXED: If the code never arrived because the e-mail address of an account does not exist (for example a typing mistake, or an address ending in gmail.co instead of gmail.com), the server now notices that the mail came back. A new account is told so at login: type your correct address in the e-mail field and the code goes there. An older account is let in and asked for a working address in the game. Registration also catches gmail.co and similar typos and asks: did you mean gmail.com?
• FIXED: On the Windows server some players' game froze at every step. Where the server's picture of the map and the player's did not agree, the new wall check refused every step and sent the player back, hundreds of times a second. The server now notices this, takes the player's own position and pauses the check for that player for 30 seconds.
• FIXED: Password recovery and login no longer refuse your e-mail address because of capital letters or spaces (phone keyboards often write the first letter as a capital, and the game then said "The Email is not correct").
• FIXED: "Your device could not be identified" at login on Android. An e-mail address saved with a space at the end (phone keyboards add one after a suggested word) moved the device code out of its place in the login. The server now reads it correctly, and the game removes such spaces (the space part comes with the new game version).
• FIXED: Some players froze in front of group base entrances and chests in freedom fight, mostly on phones. On a slow line these objects could arrive before the map itself, and loading the map then removed them on the player's side, while the server still had them, so every step there was refused. The server now sends them once more 3 seconds after a map is loaded.
• IMPROVED: Verification codes are now numbers only. Phone keyboards sometimes "corrected" the old letter codes into words, and the code was refused. A code typed with a space in it is also accepted now.
• FIXED: Players who play in a big language (Arabic above all) were disconnected about 10 seconds after every login: the game sent the whole language file (1.3 MB for Arabic) at every login, and on a slower connection it never arrived. The file is now sent only when it has changed, and only after you have been in the game for 20 seconds.
• IMPROVED: Each server now takes up to 500 connections at the same time.
• IMPROVED: Older versions of the game that do not send a device code can log in again. They confirm the device once with the e-mail code, like everybody else.
• IMPROVED: Creating an account tries to reach the server three times instead of once. If it still cannot, the game says what to check (your internet connection, a VPN or proxy) instead of "Server lost". This comes with the new game version.
• IMPROVED: Logging in says the same after the third failed try. This comes with the new game version.
• IMPROVED: On phones, setting up an existing account, creating an account, recovering your password and typing the verification code now use the phone's own text field, which TalkBack and VoiceOver handle like any other text field, with OK and Cancel buttons. The game says the question before the field opens, also without a screen reader. This comes with the new game version.
• FIXED: On Android the first download of the game sounds could stop at about 10 percent on a slow but working connection: each 8 MB piece had to arrive within two minutes or it was thrown away. Now a piece is only given up when no data comes for 45 seconds, and after a problem the game continues in smaller pieces. This comes with the new game version.
• FIXED: On phones, Enter in a text box sometimes added a new line instead of confirming, for example after a name that starts with a capital letter (phone keyboards report Shift with capital letters). On phones Enter now always confirms. This comes with the new game version.
• IMPROVED: On Android, the message that asks you to suspend TalkBack now also says that you turn TalkBack on again to type in a text box (for example your username or a verification code) and off again afterwards. In English, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish.
• FIXED: On phones, the Enter key of the on-screen keyboard now confirms a text box, for example the verification code. Some keyboards sent it as a new line and nothing happened. This comes with the new game version.
• FIXED: On phones the game is paused while you read the e-mail with your verification code, and the server then dropped the connection, so the code you typed was lost ("Connection lost"). The game now reconnects by itself and sends the code you typed; you are not asked again. The code stays valid for 15 minutes. This comes with the new game version.
• FIXED: Account creation stopped at the first wrong field and no longer goes on to the server with it, and it no longer waits for ever when the server does not answer. This comes with the new game version.
